Responsibilities:

- Asphalt Installation and Repair: Execute asphalt installation and repair tasks with precision and efficiency, including pavement resurfacing, patching, crack sealing, and pothole repair.- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various asphalt equipment, such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and milling machines, ensuring their safe and optimal functioning.- Surface Preparation: Prepare work areas by cleaning, sweeping, and clearing debris, ensuring a smooth surface for asphalt application.- Asphalt Mixing and Application: Assist in the preparation and mixing of asphalt materials, including aggregates, asphalt binders, and additives. Apply asphalt materials using appropriate techniques and equipment, ensuring proper thickness and compaction.- Quality Control: Monitor and maintain high-quality standards throughout the asphalt paving process, checking for proper compaction, smoothness, and overall finish.- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other crew members, including supervisors, equipment operators, and laborers, to ensure seamless workflow and timely project completion.- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and others. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on asphalt equipment and tools to ensure their optimal performance.- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork and documentation, including daily job reports, material usage logs, and equipment maintenance records.- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and address their concerns or questions in a courteous manner, representing the company in a positive and customer-focused manner.

Requirements:

- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in asphalt paving and maintenance, with experience running tail. Must have a with a strong background in asphalt installation, repair, and maintenance.- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of asphalt materials, mix designs, and application methods. Familiarity with industry standards, best practices, and safety regulations.- Equipment Proficiency: Proficient in operating various asphalt equipment, such as pavers, rollers, skid steers, and milling machines. Ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.- Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in varying weather conditions.- Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment, cooperating and communicating with crew members and supervisors.- Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to work, ensuring accuracy, precision, and high-quality results. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.- Safety Consciousness: Strict adherence to safety guidelines and procedures. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to asphalt paving and construction.- Communication Skills: Ability to interact professionally with team members, Foreman and supervisors.- Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL (Commercial Driver's License) may be required for certain equipment operation.S.M.
