Hentges is currently seeking a motivated and reliable Grounds Maintenance & Custodian to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our facilities, as well as maintaining the grounds surrounding our premises. This role will require some local travel to multiple facilities and locations. The ideal candidate should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude towards maintaining a clean and inviting environment for staff, customers, and visitors.

Responsibilities:

- Cleaning Duties:Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, windows, and furniture. Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, break rooms, and other common areas. Empty trash cans and replace liners regularly. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request restocking as needed. Respond to spillages and other cleaning emergencies promptly. Clean widows, interior and exterior surfaces - Grounds Maintenance:Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of exterior areas, including walkways, parking lots, and entrances. Mow lawns, trim hedges, and maintain flower beds to ensure a well-groomed appearance. Remove debris, such as leaves, branches, and trash from the grounds. Monitor and report any maintenance or repair needs related to the exterior areas. Operate and maintain equipment, such as lawnmowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers. - Safety and Compliance:Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing cleaning and maintenance tasks. Follow proper handling and storage procedures for cleaning chemicals and equipment. Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to the supervisor immediately. Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and equipment. - Collaboration and Communication:Coordinate with other staff members and supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks. Communicate any special cleaning or maintenance requests from departments or individuals. Provide friendly and courteous assistance to staff, customers, and visitors when needed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent. Willingness to travel to multiple facilities independently in the south metro Ability to work nights, early mornings or weekends - set your own schedule Proven experience in cleaning and grounds maintenance roles preferred. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment. Familiarity with operating and maintaining groundskeeping equipment. Ability to work independently and efficiently, managing time effectively. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
