MEP Planning Engineer

Job Description

TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES:

• Set targets for activities based on each phase of a project plan and ensure it meets client’s specifications.
• Make estimations for timescales and costs using specialized design software packages.
• Monitor day-to-day work progress for a project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports.
• Make comparisons between planned progress and actual progress and report any differences to the line manager.
• Handle budget by overseeing the project planning, inventory services, cost control, team leadership, and project management.
• Attend crucial meetings and provide current status updates to vendors, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
• Identify gaps in key performance areas and plan activities to increase overall project efficiency.
• Provide guidance and deliver schedules to facilitate project execution strategy.
• Provide day-to-day updates to the Project Manager regarding all related activities of the Project.
• Perform other task assigned by the management.

Skills

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

• Bachelor Degree in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institute.
• Experience with minimum 10 + years in progressively responsible Project Management roles preferably in MEP Industry.
• Strong problem solving, negotiations and creative skills.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Excellent command in English and Arabic.
• Self-driven, detail-oriented with analytical mindset.
