JOB TITLE: SENIOR DESIGNER - ELECTRICAL

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing the drawings as per mark-ups/Vendor drawings (documents)/design calculations/instructions given by Senior Designers and Engineers.
• Preparing the TDR for the Project/Job/assigned area.
• Carry out all drafting activities as per the Company/Client/Project specifications and PFI drafting norms.
• Perform Lighting calculations for Indoor/Outdoor areas using Lighting software.
• Consult Senior’s/Engineer’s to resolve the IDC comments in case any critical interface is required.
• Adopting the Guidelines and Standards illustrated in Cad Manual/Job Drafting basis for making the drawings.
• Preparing the ‘As-built’ drawings as per the site mark-ups/final Vendor drawings/latest available information from Engineer.
• Producing IDC documents, follow-up and resolving conflicts / decisions with other disciplines.
• Prepare and develop Installation standard drawings in line with project requirement.
• Preparation of cable schedule, Cable drum schedule / cable cutting schedule.
• Cable trench / tray loading details. Designing trench / tray size considering future expansion and permissible tolerance specified in project/Job/Client specification.
• Keeping records and maintaining files of all the produced drawings/documents in ‘Design & Drafting department as per the Guidelines mentioned in Cad Manual/Drafting basis.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Diploma / ITI holder with minimum 2 years of experience as Electrical Designer / 3-D modeler in oil & gas / refinery / fertilizer / chemical / industrial projects in reputed EPC or engineering company.The candidate should have good skill sets in E3D or PDMS or SP3D modelling software’s and competency in 3-D modelling of cable trays, tray supports, trenches, duct banks, electrical equipment such as switchgears, transformers, distribution boards, junction boxes, Local Control Stations, lighting fixtures, poles, and sockets.
• The candidate should also be able to do 3-D to 2-D layout extraction and work in 2-D draft mode.
• Should have skill sets in AutoCAD 2018 software and able to prepare electrical SLDs, installation drawings, cable routing, earthing, and lighting layouts, lighting circuiting and MTO estimations.
