Cost Controller

We are looking for a skilled Cost Controller to join our team in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure that they stay within budget. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to analyze costs, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and implement strategies to manage expenses effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and control project costs throughout the project lifecycle
2. Analyse project budgets, expenses, and variances
3. Prepare cost reports and forecasts for management
4. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to reduce expenses
5. Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure cost control measures are implemented
6. Review and validate invoices, contracts, and purchase orders
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with cost control procedures
8. Provide cost analysis and support for project proposals and business cases
9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost control

Skills

Preferred Candidate:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
2. Proven experience as a Cost Controller or similar role
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Excellent knowledge of cost control principles and techniques
5. Proficient in using cost control software and tools
6. Attention to detail and accuracy
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
9. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
10. Knowledge of the construction industry and project management is a plus
