JOB DESCRIPTION FOR PROJECT ENGINEERING MANAGER NEOM POWER
The Project Engineer Manager (PEM) is responsible for:
· Fully accountable for all Engineering tasks on the Project
· Coordination of the Engineering activities on large scale capital projects
· Coordination with all Lead engineers and designers working on the project to ensure timely Engineering delivery under schedule and quality constraints.
· Coordination of various design reviews, tracking and expediting action close out.
· Support PM in evaluating changes that substantially impact the scope, budget, or schedule of a project.
· Monitors progress and performance against the project schedule and raises timely flags.
· Manages inter-disciplinary information flows, interfaces, and conflicts.
· Capable of foreseeing, analysing and escalating issues arising from operations and resource constraints..
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Understanding of overall Project Engineer Manager managing and Design Execution Strategy.
· Understanding of project specific instructions and procedures.
· Consolidate department engineering budgets and manage them during the project under PM guidance.
· Coordination with internal engineering and design resources to produce engineering deliverables on schedule and within budget.
· Resolve conflicts between disciplines and ensure smooth flow of information.
· Ensures effective technical coordination with Clients or third-party representatives (as needed).
· Prepares various project reports and presentations as guided by overall PEM / PM
· Ensures compliance to project procedures and effective change management; Raises flags for non-compliances.
· Ensures that lessons learned for engineering are clearly identified, recorded, and communicated.
· Keeps tracking of open actions / TQs etc. and co-ordinates for their close out.
· Leads the activity of Engineering Close out preparation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering.
· Min 15 years relevant professional experience.
· Strong track record in the management of detailed engineering activities of Power/Process Plants.
· Experience in Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases, Petrochemical projects, or Power and Oil & Gas
· Strong organizational, communication and facilitation skills.
· Good commercial awareness with ability to evaluate change.
· Field Engineering experience is an added advantage.
SITE SPECIFIC ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
· Mobility for site mobilisation.
· Coordination with CMEI contractor, Construction and Project controls.
· Handle site queries and take decisions independently.
· Reach out for home office support where required to expedite site progress.
