Senior Instructor in Industrial Security

The Senior Instructor in industrial security is responsible for leading all aspects of the Industrial Security Training programs assigned to him (Training Centre and OJT), materials development and managing his departmental team. The Senior Instructor is also the Internal Verifier for his programs.

Functional Duties:1. Develop specific competency model on industrial security field

2. Develop curriculum and training program to align with best industrial security reference level and as per client needs

3. Promotion of SPSP industrial security training program with major business set up in KSA

4. Lead the departmental development and on-going maintenance of all training programs, course materials (theoretical and practical), procedures and assessments to satisfy the client and Awarding Body requirements

5. Support the selection and recruiting a suitable team of industrial security trainers

6. Ensure that the equipment in the workshops is suitable and adequate in number to complement the training and assessment

7. Manage delivering training as and when required

8. Ensure management and maintenance of trainees database

9. Ensure that the center maintains Approved Centre status by the Awarding Body

10. Ensure accreditation of all programs he is responsible for at the center and in the workplace (OJT) is maintained

11. In coordination with the Center Director, implement a suitable Internal Verification and Quality Assurance system to meet Awarding Body requirements and ensure that the quality of the programs is maintained

12. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure Quality Control is managed professionally and effectively

13. Develop and manage teaching and assessment schedules

14. Discipline the staff he is responsible for when required

15. Coach and train staff where required.

16. Partake actively in meetings with Service Company’s in the Kingdom to develop courses suited to their needs.

17. Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports as required.

18. Be active in suggesting ways of continually improving the training programs.

19. Uphold the SPSP Quality Policy.

20. Any other duties as reasonably required by SPSP Management.

21. Maintain expertise in subject areas and recommend improvements in curriculum design.

22. Maintain confidential information.

23. Develop and deliver other appropriate training courses, including all material.

Academic and Professional Qualifications (minimum)

Academic: Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, Engineer or a Master degree in security management, business administration, political/social science, psychology, international relations or related field.

Professional certification: CPP/ PSP or CSMP certification or equivalent .

A Police and/or Military War college or Senior Course is an asset. Relevant certification of specialized training or license, such as military and police academy diplomas, may be accepted in lieu of a recognized degree.

Preferred :Verifiable international industrial security association membership, to be updated on most recent international standards and best practices.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Professional Experience (minimum)

• At least 5 years in industrial security training field, in both Arabic and English language: progressively responsible experience in military service, police, judicial, investigative (private or public) security, other Rule of Law capacity that requires routine use of force equipment and firearms is required.

• At least 3 years’ experience as a qualified weapons instructor in a military, police or civilian context is required. Experience in managing, coordinating, and implementing a flexible and sizeable training / learning programme is required, including experience in all aspects of firearms training, firearms qualifications and, corrective measures for remedial firearm training.
