Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Operations Coordinator, Sr. is responsible for program operational excellence in support of Senior Management of the Americas Programs (AP) business area team and program managers, by ensuring adherence to common work processes and procedures and providing other management assistance. Will be responsible for supporting operations across the business area, reviewing/delivering monthly reports and dashboards, program phase-in participation, participate with proposal Contingency Operations development, support the overall organization by supporting program teams with the development and implementation of common work processes and procedures, program execution planning and providing other management oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight of and operational interface with assigned individual programs in accordance with the established Vectrus and government policies, procedures, systems, and requirements to include P&L responsibility and operational excellence.
  • Mentoring and professional development oversight of subordinate program managers and key program staff as well as succession planning.
  • Participates in and supports the business development process, to include milestone reviews, strategy development, and customer interface and capture activities.
  • Responsibilities include program planning, start-up (phase-in) and subcontracting strategy, contract changes, customer daily relations, subcontractor relations and program reporting.
  • Performs Vectrus enterprise wide horizontal integration planning and interfaces to other functional operations, COEs, VCs, and support systems.
  • Ensures delivery of and reviews required technical and financial reports to show progress of programs to Vectrus senior management and the customer.
  • Performs Other Duties as Assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
    • Undergraduate degree preferred
    • Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen
    • Host Country Passenger Vehicle
  • Experience:
    • A minimum of five (5) years general experience which provides a good basis or general knowledge of the principles of organization, management, and administration.
    • Three years leadership experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organization, communication (verbal/written) skills, and attention to detail.
    • Requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
    • Must be able to multi-task proficiently while meeting short suspense for both scheduled Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and unscheduled reports/tasks.
    • Prior LOGCAP Operations experience preferred.
    • MAXIMO experience is preferred.
  • Supervisory/Budget Responsibilities:
    • Supervises Operations Coordinators/Specialists performing 24hr operations at the Task Order and Site levels.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, duty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
    • Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Work may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
    • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
    • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
