SR. Reservoir Geologist - (Saudi Naional)

Job Description

Act as the subject matter expert in the geozone to deliver multi-disciplinary integration studies that facilitate the use of innovative technology and workflows to reduce drilling, completion risks and optimize reservoir production from the reservoir geology perspective and other subsurface evaluation domains. Provide technical support internally and externally, as well as mentorship to junior employees, concerning geological evaluation integrating multidisciplinary reservoir description data with a strong focus on the delivery of integrated, practical and cost-effective solutions to common reservoir problems through the life of the asset.

• Integrate reservoir analysis to provide solutions across different product lines and integrated operations.
• Build 3D static geological models through the integration of domains such as Geophysics, Geology, Petrophysics, amount others to support characterization and field development.
• Risk assessment analysis of static reservoir models.
• Provide real-time decision support to the drilling and development teams, internally and externally, to maximize operations efficiency and minimize risk while achieving the well/field objective.
• Assist operations teams across product lines on post-mortem root-cause analysis.
• Advice clients on drilling, well placement, evaluation and field development, through early engagement.
• Participate in test and core selection, designing geological and reservoir tests under selected scenarios and analyzing results
• Keep up to date and reviews new technology for possible application to projects.
• Promote technical excellence image of Company and Segment (publish papers, attend/present at public forums, and otherwise gain recognition for the Segment products and services).
• Support for technical training and competency content for reservoir geology training courses and other relevant subjects.
• Provide detailed analytical reports to management.
• Testing of software for Geology solution and any related applications. Help with deploying this knowledge to Segments and clients for field testing and final implementation.
• Know and understand Weatherford’s Operational Excellence & Performance System (OEPS) and the Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Skills

REQUIRED

• 10+ years relevant experience providing Reservoir Geology services.
• Experience on supporting Integrated Projects.
• Experience on monitoring Real Time Drilling operations.
• Experience on Petrel.
• BSc. In Engineering or Geoscience in an accredited university

PREFERRED

• 15+ years of relevant experience providing Reservoir Geology services.
• Post graduate studies related to Reservoir Engineering and/or Geology and Geophysics.
