Overview

Under the supervision of the Service Desk Supervisor and with technical assistance and guidance from the PWD Operations Manager, performs daily routine gathering of information in support of the Department’s mission. Duties: With guidance and supervision, work with MS-DOS, Windows 95, MS Office, and other similar programs. Provide appropriate technical assistance and responses to the Section Supervisors on Work Order and Warranty related inquiries in the shop. May be required to do on- site customer assistance visits. Appointed as the Modification Work Order Coordinator for the Contract.

May be required to operate and manage minor stand-alone PC-based software/systems. May perform other administrative tasks as determined by Material Officer and the Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

  • This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
  • Performs daily routine gathering of information in support of the Department’s mission.
  • With guidance and supervision, work with MS-DOS, Windows 95, MS Office, Maximo, and other similar programs.
  • Provide appropriate technical assistance and responses to the Section Supervisors on Work Order in the shop.
  • Gather and track warranties for all PWD assets.
  • Provide a monthly 60-day warranty expiration report.
  • Provide approved job plans and maintenance frequencies for new assets to the Service Center.
  • Provide location of warranty asset to the Service Center.
  • Participates in joint inventories upon receipt of new assets.
  • Submit warrant certificates to the Service Center.
  • Ensure Warranty details are captured and maintained in AIS system.
  • Track all calibration equipment and maintain records accordingly.
  • Provide a monthly calibration report.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Use the guide below to determine education and experience for this position.
  • •High School graduate or equivalent.
  • •Military or equivalent training in the Army Maintenance Program.
  • •Must be CAC eligible and/or able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • A valid home country driver’s license and the ability to obtain a Host Country Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
  • Experience:
  • 3 years’ experience in logistics, automation or supply management or a combination thereof if essential.
  • Skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills mandatory, as well as the ability to actively participate in the decision-making process.
  • Candidate must possess strong customer service and analytical skills and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Have a working knowledge of Maximo® or similar Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
  • Visual Acuity
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • Working Conditions
  • The worker is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
  • The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
  • The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
